Chaitra Navratri 2024 Special Recipes:-
Sabudana Khichdi for 1st day of Navratri 2024:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sabudana (sago pearls)
- 1 medium-sized potato, boiled and diced
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup roasted peanuts, crushed
- 1 tablespoon ghee (clarified butter)
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- Sendha namak (rock salt) to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Method:
- Soak sabudana in water for 4-5 hours, then drain and set aside.
- Heat ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds and chopped green chilies.
- Add diced potatoes and sauté until golden brown.
- Add soaked sabudana, crushed peanuts, and rock salt. Mix well and cook until sabudana turns translucent.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
Kuttu Ki Puri for 2nd day of Navratri 2024:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup kuttu ka atta (buckwheat flour)
- 1 boiled potato, mashed
- Sendha namak (rock salt) to taste
- Warm water for kneading
- Ghee for frying
Method:
- In a mixing bowl, combine kuttu ka atta, mashed potato, and rock salt.
- Gradually add warm water and knead into a soft dough.
- Divide the dough into small portions and roll out each portion into a small puri.
- Heat ghee in a frying pan and fry the puris until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve hot with vrat wale aloo or any other Navratri curry of your choice.
Singhare Ke Pakode for 3rd day of Navratri 2024:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup singhare ka atta (water chestnut flour)
- 1 medium-sized potato, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
- Sendha namak (rock salt) to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Method:
- In a mixing bowl, combine singhare ka atta, sliced potatoes, chopped green chilies, coriander leaves, and rock salt.
- Gradually add water to make a thick batter.
- Heat oil in a kadhai (deep frying pan) and drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil.
- Fry until the pakoras turn golden brown and crispy.
- Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot with green chutney.
Lauki Ka Halwa for 4th day of Navratri 2024:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups grated lauki (bottle gourd)
- 1 cup khoya (reduced milk solids)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
- Chopped nuts for garnish
Method:
- Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan and add grated lauki.
- Cook on medium heat until the lauki softens and releases its moisture.
- Add khoya and sugar, and cook until the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.
- Stir in cardamom powder and mix well.
- Garnish with chopped nuts and serve warm.
Kuttu Ka Dosa for 5th day of Navratri 2024:
Ingredients:
- Kuttu (Buckwheat) Flour
- Water
- Rock Salt
- Fresh Coconut Chutney or Yogurt (for serving)
Method:
- Make a batter using kuttu (buckwheat) flour, water, and rock salt.
- Heat a non-stick pan, spread the batter evenly to make thin dosas, and cook until crisp from both sides.
- Serve hot with a side of fresh coconut chutney or yogurt.
Aloo Tamatar Sabji for 6th day of Navratri 2024:
Ingredients:
- Potatoes
- Tomatoes
- Ghee or Oil
- Rock Salt
- Turmeric
- Red Chili Powder
- Coriander Leaves (for garnish)
- Kuttu Ki Poori or Sama Rice (for serving)
Method:
- Heat ghee/oil in a pan, add boiled and diced potatoes, and sauté until golden brown.
- Add tomato puree, rock salt, turmeric, red chili powder, and cook until the mixture thickens.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with kuttu ki poori or sama rice.
Singhare Ke Atte Ka Halwa for 7th day of Navratri 2024:
Ingredients:
- Singhare Ka Atta (Water Chestnut Flour)
- Ghee
- Hot Water
- Sugar
- Cardamom Powder
- Chopped Nuts (for garnish)
Method:
- Roast singhare ka atta (water chestnut flour) in ghee until aromatic.
- Add hot water, sugar, and cardamom powder to the roasted flour and cook until the mixture thickens.

Arbi Fry for 8th day of Navratri 2024:
Ingredients:
- Arbi (Colocasia)
- Ghee
- Cumin Seeds
- Ajwain (Carom Seeds)
- Rock Salt
- Red Chili Powder
- Amchur Powder
Method:
- Boil arbi (colocasia) until tender, peel, and cut into slices.
- Heat ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, ajwain, and sliced arbi. Fry until golden brown.
- Sprinkle rock salt, red chili powder, and amchur powder, toss well, and serve hot.
