Ingredients of Yellow Gravy:

– Oil: 200 ml

– Whole garam masala: 5 to 10g

– Boiled onion paste: 1 cup (200g)

– Ginger & garlic paste: 1 tablespoon

– Salt: according to taste

– Turmeric: 1 and a half teaspoons

– Red Chilli Powder: to taste

– Coriander powder: 1 tablespoon

– Add water 1 cup or depends upon your gravy consistency

– Curd: as needed

– Dry fruit paste: 4 to 5 tablespoons

– Fresh cream: 3 to 4 tablespoons

– Kasuri methi: a pinch

 

Note: Don’t use Deghi Mirch Powder in this recipe.

 

Step-by-Step Process:

  1. Heat Oil: In a pan, heat 200 ml of oil.
  2. Add Garam Masala: Add whole garam masala and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Onion Paste: Add 1 cup of boiled onion paste and cook until it turns golden brown.
  4. Ginger & Garlic Paste: Add 1 tablespoon of ginger & garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  5. Spices: Add salt, 1 and a half teaspoons of turmeric, red chilli powder, and 1 tablespoon of coriander powder. Cook until the oil separates.
  6. Water and Curd: Lower the flame and add water then curd gradually, stirring continuously to prevent curdling. Stir until the first boil.
  7. Dry Fruit Paste: Add 4 to 5 tablespoons of dry fruit paste and mix well.
  8. Fresh Cream: Add 3 to 4 tablespoons of fresh cream and mix.
  9. Kasuri Methi: Sprinkle a little kasuri methi on top and mix.
