NFCI Group of Education, a leading and well-known cooking institute spread over six states in India organized ‘National Culinary Challenge -2024’on 1st March 2024 at Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala.
In total 800 students participated in the first round out of which 200 students were selected for the second round, 45 students qualified and made their place in the grand finale NFCI Chandigarh secured the first position and won the prize of Rs.51,000. On the other hand, NFCI Jalandhar got the second place and prize money of 31,000 and NFCI Karnal got the third position and prize money of 21,000. Besides this, 2 Consolation prizes of Rs. 11,000 each were given to NFCI Patiala and NFCI Varanasi. Also, NFCI Starter was awarded to make the for Best Starter,NFCI Belgaum for Best Main course and NFCI Ludhiana for the Best Dessert
The chief judges Chef Parvinder Singh Bali, Chef Izzat Hussain, Chef Vikas Chawla, and Chef Rohit Gujral along with our guests of honor Mrs. Seema Soni, Mr. Rajnish Sharma (deputy registrar of PTU) and some renowned personalities of the hotel industry of this Grand National competition, judged the cooking skills of the students as well as appreciated their efforts.
The esteemed NFCI Managing Director Mrs. Brijinder Kaur Nagpal, Director Mr. Pemninder Singh Nagpal, Dr. Anjna Joshi and Mr. Sanjeev Kashyap, Mr Naveen Dua thanked all the students, judges, sponsors, and NFCI group team members for their cooperation and efforts to make the event successful. The sponsors and media partners who made this NFCI’s national competition a success were Professional Hotelwares, Havells, Cremica, Mr. Truk, ARC, JK Furniture, Jain Bhai, Arnav Enterprise, Inaayat, FM Radio City 91.9, World Hospitality, and Hammer Hotels & Institutions.
