Make quick spicy potatoes (Navratri Vrat Aloo Recipe) during fasting:

Ingredients to make Vrat Aloo:

  • Potatoes – 4 boiled
  • Peanuts – 1 small cup
  • Tomato – 1
  • Green chilli – 2 to 3
  • green coriander
  • Rock salt – as per taste
  • Cumin – 12 tsp
  • Black pepper- 12 tsp
  • Ghee – for frying

Traditional Method to make Vrat Aloo Recipe:

  • First of all, put some ghee in a pan and add peanuts to it and fry them and then take them out and keep them aside.
  • Then again add ghee in the same pan and heat it.
  • Now add cumin, green chilli and tomato and mix well.
  • After this, add salt and cook until the tomatoes melt properly.
  • Now add cut potatoes into small pieces and mix.
  • Add black pepper powder over it, mix and let it fry for some time on low flame.
  • Finally, turn off the gas and garnish with green coriander.
  • Add some crushed peanuts on top.
